When to fit a Turkish bath into your Belek holiday

In the first days of your holiday

A hamam early in your holiday is a gentle way to settle in. The one thing to watch is the sun: the kese is a firm scrub, so if your skin is sunburnt or irritated, tell the hamam before the session — or choose another day.

Before or after the beach?

If you do both on the same day, leave time between them rather than going straight from hours in the sun into the heat. We make no promises about skin or tanning: the hamam is a bathing ritual, not a beauty treatment.

On a grey or rainy day

The hamam is indoors, which makes a cloudy or wet day a natural choice. Online, the earliest date you can book is tomorrow, and pickups follow the day's transfer schedule, so book as early as you can.

After a round of golf

Belek is known for its golf courses, and several hotels on our pickup list are golf resorts. A hamam after a round is a relaxing way to end the day. We make no claim that it helps recovery — it is warmth, a scrub, foam and a massage.

With the children

Children aged 4 to 10 pay the child fare and under-4s are free. A quieter day suits a family hamam better than one that already has a long outing in it. More in Turkish bath with children.

On the last day

Not on the day you fly home. Your pickup time follows the day's transfer schedule, and 2 to 3 hours is too much to squeeze in before an airport transfer. If your last full day is free, that works well.

One free afternoon: the hamam, or something else?
